French connection.

While we were in the south of France, we noticed a few New Zealand plants in gardens, a cabbage tree in flower, as well as Arthropodiums in bloom, and Hebes and flaxes in several places.
Shouldn't have been a surprise of course, we have many plants from overseas countries growing here, but it was still nice to see our plants thriving on the other side of the world!
For plants to do well it is important to choose the right plant for the conditions, and we are always happy to help with this to help you achieve the best results in your garden.

Paris in spring.

There has been no blog entry in April as I've been away for a few weeks, a trip to Europe with the last days in Paris.
Most impressive was the sheer scale of the landscaping at the Tuileries gardens at the Louvre, best seen from up high to appreciate the layout and beauty of it all.
The trees used for the hedgerows were chestnuts and oaks, very simple but effective.
Of course, if you're interested in something a little bit like this, we can help with the design, planting and any other landscaping needed to achieve this look...just maybe not quite on the same scale!
